This idiot cyclist in Mason City decided it was a better idea to evade police rather than accept either citation of fine for not having a head light on his bike after sunset. According to Iowa traffic code pertaining to bicycles, bicycles are to have a head light mounted on them after sunset. It is very possible this cyclists would have been given a warning and advised to walk to his destination. Giving a citation is at the officers discretion. This moron decided to evade police and now he is in jail because of it. Doing this also causes the police to further look into his background for other issues he may be wanted on. This guy is definitely a dumb criminal.
